Today it was confirmed that the Cargill's Oil Factory in Quequén, was sold to Renova S.A., which is a join-venture between Vicentin S.A.I.C. and O.M.H.S.A. (under Glencore's control)
This agreement includes the transfer of assets and employees as from today.
The reason for this sale is that Cargill wants to focus their maximum efforts where it can be more competitive and, besides, the factory in Quequén is suitable for working with sunflower, which is what the firm Renova is interested in.
After months of negotiations, the sale was confirmed today.
The factory processes sunflower and soy and employs over 200 workers.
We'll keep you posted and updated.
