Fire in Nueva Palmira port / Corp Navios Terminal

Please kindly note that on August 26th, there was a huge fire in Nueva Palmira port, at Navios Corporation Terminal.
The fire was in the conveyor belt and the flames spread to the whole pier structure which is over 100 meters.
The fire consumed about 200 meters (of a total of 300 meters) of the conveyor belt and, as per witnesses' comments, "it was like a thousand tires were on fire over an iron structure which is 20 meters above the water".
The Port Authorities informed that, luckily, the wind was blowing to Argentina. Otherwise, they would have to evacuate the city.

Apparently, the situation affected the mineral loading sector (Pier 4) and grain sector (Pier 1) was not affected and the Terminal is fully operational.
