M.V ARISTIMO ran agroun on April 10th
Date: 17/04/2017
On April 10th at 0615 hrs LT, m.v. ARISTIMO (IMO 9126302), informed to Coastguard that she suffered a power blockade without knowing why.
Under these circumstances, she commenced the dropping anchors procedures out of navigation channel at Km 350 of Parana River.
During this maneuver, she lost the starboard anchor at 0630 hrs LT and got anchored without obstructing navigation.
Later it is verified that she was, in fact, ran aground.
Also, she lost the port side anchor.
Today, April 17th, situation is as follows:
- Both anchors were replaced and settled.
- Tugboat Argentino I was assisting the vessel in case she could get refloated and need to be turned or moved to another position.
- Tugboat Argentino I left.
- Vessel is trying to get refloated by her own means.
Vessel is loaded with 36.000 Mt - SBM from rosario to Egypt.
