Pilots announce their intention to lower pilotage tariffs

Pls note that the Pilots Chamber has issued a letter to the Transportation Ministry stating their intention to decrease pilotage tariffs in relation with the River Way Administration commitment to solve some of the core issues pilots have been complaining about, such as missing buoys and non-operational tide meters. They do not specify any date when the modification of the tariffs will become into effect but they set the deadline for April of 2017 when the last of the tariffs reductions will be effected. The communication speaks about a 20% average reduction (where some items vary between 8% and 40%). We will revert as soon as the tariffs reductions come into effect.
