Dredging to be performed / Possible delays to go through Emilio Mitre channel

Pls note that on May 18th, Dredger "NICOLO MACHIAVELLI" will start dredging operations at Km 16,4 to 23,00 and 29,4 to 36,5 of Emilio Mitre channel. Up/downstream passage will be coordinated by Coast Guard's traffic Control Station and agents will have to ask Coast Guard for passage clearance 12 hours beforehand. Coast Guard will organize passing vessels in convoys that will go through the dredging area during the dredger's idle time window (which will be 1 hour
before the high tide, and until the last vessel in the convoy clears the area). This may cause unforeseeable delays in downstream passage in case vessel misses the convoy and has to wait until next tide to sail out during dredger's next idle time. We will keep you posted with developments
