SENASA Workers Union might go on strike

Date: 20/07/2015

State Workers Association (ATE), which is the Main Union that
SENASA Union belongs to, finished a strike that lasted for ten (10) days.

This strike was over the Meat Packing Industry and slaugherhouses only, affecting all Meat Food chain.
Nevertheless, they couldn't reach an agreement with Government and then, ATE has
announced a new plan which mainly consists into going on a second strike for another 12 days,
starting next Monday, July 20th.

In principle, the strike will be the same nature than the previous one,
i.e., affecting the Meat Packing Industry and slaughterhouses only. but,
and we quote, "could be deeper and extensive to Phytosanitary certificates issuing,
therefore that will affect the activity in ports, cargoes and vessels"

This last is still to be confirmed and it is NOT for sure yet.
