Please note that, with the departure of IBN BATTUTA (November 29th at 0915 hrs LT), the last dredger remaining in Quequen, the deepening tasks are completed.
Channel flaunt a deep of 50 feet and although the main purpose of this deepening was the channel we are starting to see an improvement at berth depth and sailing draft, since last vessels sailed from port were loaded up to 13,20m, sailing about or during low tide.
Beyond the above, the deepening will allow the Port to reduce waiting times, optimize processes and minimize costs.
The deepening of the port will directly lead to a reduction in the port costs and will enhance the economic position of same, since it will be able to operate ore and larger cargos, having an imminent impact on direct and indirect employment in the area.
