Further to our previous Newsletters related to the incidents of the m.v. CASSIOPEIA OCEAN, we inform that the last bathymetric survey with effective depths (determinants) in Paso Alvear (Km 403.4 – Km 408.7 Parana River) is the one carried out and informed by the Deputy Secretariat of Ports, Waterways and Merchant Marine on September 1st of the current year.
New bathymetries are currently being performed in the area, with the dredger MANZANILLO, operating on the left verge at Km. 407.1 of the Parana River.
Just as a reminder, the m.v. CASSIOPEIA OCEAN that had run aground on August 27th at 0100 hrs LT at Km 407.300 (green verge) of the Parana River, partially obstructing the navigation channel, was freed on August 31st at 1255 hrs LT with the assistance of 4 tugboats.
