Today January 24th at 0530hs m.v. STAR ATHENA ran aground while unberthing from VGG berth, Rosario port, at Km 410 of Parana River (right margin).

Pls note that mv of refrence went aground on Dec 24th, drawing 10,34 mts sailing draft. She ldd at San Lorenzo Port, LDC Timbúes term abt 40000 maize + wheat with final destination Chile.

On Dec 25th 1235 refloated, assited by tugboats Tumbador & Coopor.

Please note due the extraordinary low levels in the Parana river, San Nicolas Port Authority has declared the new determinant for the access channel (affecting New Port berth, Elevator berth & AES Alicura berth ) to 8 meters.
