As per last rumours and disclosed info, the Shanghai Dredging Company (SDC) is looking for winning the public tender for the Parana River dredging and marking, being its main offer "to charge less toll to the vessels" which tempts the agro-exporters and operators.

Following our last night report regarding the subject strike, please kindly note that the Ministry of Labour has dictated the Mandatory Conciliation for five (5), leaving the strike without effect and exhorting the tug companies to not take any retaliation against the workers.

Please kindly note that the Seamen Union (SOMU) informed that, due to haven't reached and agreement for increasing the salaries, they will go on strike as from December 19th at 0000 hrs LT and for an undeterminate period of time.
