April 16th 2015 Sailing draft decreased / Strike

Please note that lately, the draft has dropped to 10,53 meters throughout the Parana River, affecting San Lorenzo, Rosario, Villa Constitución and San Nicolas ports.
There are dredgers working at the critical paths in order to improve the sailing draft in the near future.
Ramallo port has been especially affected by a shallow path detected nearby Bunge Ramallo berth (not affecting the main navigation channel) where the berths access has been limited to around 8,30 meters.
Please note that the Oil workers union in Necochea has gone on a strike last night, blocking Cargill's and Oleaginosa Moreno plants, preventing the entry and exit f trucks. This measure will be hedl for an indeterminate period of time, affecting the normal working of factories/vessels.
There will be a meeting to be held today afternoon in order to see wether the conflict can be solved.
