BAHIA BLANCA Port / Pier Nº 5 Puerto Galvan / NEW Loa restriction

Please note the Bahia Blanca port administrator informed that due an undeclared collission occurred last Dec 25th with the mv TRUDY to Pier 5, the authorities determined a max LOA of 190 meters for all vessels calling Pier 5 Puerto Galvan. Usually this pier is used for fertilizer discharges and multipourpose vessels. Any vessel to call Pier 5 with an LOA over 190 meters will have to be evaluated by the authorities if it can berth or not.
The damage occurred over the inner channell outlying dolphin. Port authorities are evaluating alternative options to repair mentioned dolphin.
