Please be advised that the unions affiliated with the Maritime and River Federation have announced a 48-hour cessation of activities as follows:

Strike Period

From 00:00 hrs – Wednesday, 18 February 2026

Until 24:00 hrs – Thursday, 19 February 2026

Services Affected
 

Mooring Services

All routine mooring operations will be suspended during the strike period.

Tugs / Harbour Manoeuvring Vessels

• Last tug operations: 23:30 hrs – 17 February 2026
• Only safety guard units will remain available for emergencies required by the Maritime Authority (primarily tanker sailings).

Mooring & Pilot Launches

Operations suspended for the full strike duration.

Companies will assign one safety launch per port strictly for emergency purposes.

Transport / Tourism / Utility Launches

All activities suspended.

Fishing Vessels

Operations suspended for vessels scheduled to sail within the strike window.

Normal activities resume 00:00 hrs – Friday, 20 February 2026.

Operational Impact
 

• No routine berthing / unberthing manoeuvres expected
• Potential delays to vessel schedules
• Boarding operations may be restricted
• Cargo operations may be indirectly affected depending on port conditions

Vessels already engaged in cargo operations at 00:00 hrs on 18 February may complete operations for safety reasons.
