PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC COVID-19

We hereby inform you that the National Executive Power, by Necessity and Urgency Decree (DNU) DECNU-2020-260-APN-PTE, expanded the health public emergency determined by Law No 27541, due to the Pandemic declared by the World Health Organization (WHO), in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19), for a period of one (1) year starting March, Thursday 12th, designating the Department of Public Health as the enforcement authority within the declared emergency.
 
To date, the member States of the European Union, members of the Schengen Area, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, Republic of Korea, Japan, China and the Islamic Republic of Iran are considered ‘affected areas’ by the pandemic COVID-19.
 
Mandatory isolation, which shall be modified by the enforcement authority according to epidemiological evolution, is established as preventive actions for a period of 14 days to the following people:
 
1. Those who shall be considered ‘suspicious cases’ (people with fever and one or more respiratory symptoms) and who, during recent days, have traveled to ‘affected areas’ or have been in contact with confirmed or probable cases of COVID-19.
2. Those who shall have medical confirmation of having contracted COVID-19.
3. The ‘close contacts’ (to be established by the enforcement authority).
4. Those who shall arrive in the country having moved through ‘affected areas’.
5. Those who have arrived in the country in the last 14 days, having moved through ‘affected areas’.
 
International passenger flights coming from ‘affected areas’ are temporary suspended for a period of thirty (30) days. The Ministry of Transportation, through the Regulatory Body of the National System of Airports (ORSNA) or the Under Secretary of Ports, Waterways and Merchant Marine (SPYNyMM) and the Ministry of Security and Domestic Affairs, shall designate safe air, maritime and land corridors.
 
The operators of national and international means of transport, operating in Argentina, shall be obliged to comply with the sanitary measures and preventive actions that shall be established, and they shall also be obliged to duly issue the required reports.
 
The enforcement authority shall pass the necessary rules to fulfill the aforementioned Decree.
