Mv BULK GUATEMALA - Aground at km 287 - Parana River

Pls note that Mv Bulk Guatemala went aground tdy, May 13th (0005 hrs) at km 287 (right margin) of Parana River, completely obstructing navigation channel. Vsl sailing draft: 10,30 mts (33'09''). She was bound for Snicolas Port to discharge 40764 tns of Iore at Siderar Mineral berth. She's still obstructing navigation channel and Coast Guard is only allowing vessels up to 7,40 meters draft to sail through the grounding area. Coast Guard has requested vessel's agents to appoint tug boats but, till now, no tugs have arrived to assist her in the refloating maneuvers. We'll keep you informed abt developments.
