May 08th 2015 Customs house enforcing cargo quantity determination by draft survey for all vessels **CANCELLED**

Customs House advised that they will not enforce the cargo quantity assessment by draft survey and operations will continue to be carried out as per the normal practice: Cargo quantities are assessed by shore scale except for those terminals where shore scale is not available such as in Iron ore loading or discharging berths (Siderar, Puerto Nuevo in San Nicolas and TPR in Rosario).
The Customs House will still be entitled to carry out draft surveys in particular cases in order to counter-check the shore scale figures for control purposes but in practice this is seldom enforced.
