Trucks Drivers' Nation Wide strike (July 19th)

Date: 13/07/2016

Pls. note that Argentinean Confederation of Automotive Cargo Transport (CATAC), which gathers all trucks companies' owners across the country, has called for a National strike next Tuesday (July 19th) which will affect normal operations since same will include Ports and Terminal blockades.

They are demanding an update on freight rates since, as per their comments "the fuel suffered an increase of 31%, tolls over 400% and tires another 20%" and said that "all of them must be reflected within new tariff. Otherwise we can not even cover the operative costs"

They will go on a strike, blocking all Buenos Aires / Santa Fe ports, threatening to extend it to other activities.

The Terminals would continue loading having enough stock but surely will be blockades in front of them and this may affect the staff entrance to the Terminals.

We'll keep you posted and updated.
